Southampton Solent Rotary were present at the Belgian Memorial Ceremony at the Belgian Cenotaph in the Old Cemetery in Southampton on 7th October. The Cenotaph was erected to remember Belgians wounded in the First World War and who died in Southampton.

The proceedings were organised by Billy Ferguson and his wife who were previous members of Rotary.  Wreaths were placed by, among other people the Lord Mayor of Southampton, Pat Evemy, and the Military Attache from the Belgian Embassy, Joris Van Belle. The pipes were played by Pipe Major Diederik De Jaeger who had travelled from Belgium for the Ceremony.
