Solent Rotary Support the Chamber of Commerce.
Solent Rotary were pleased to support a networking event organised by the Hampshire Chamber of Commerce. The event was held at Southampton Football Club. Peter Hall (Past President) and Ralph Crump (2026 President) joined many others representing businesses and groups in the Southampton Area. A relaxed evening with an informal environment – the club looks forward to future events and the opportunity to build relationships with others in our city.

Solent Rotary launch Youth Speaks 2026.
The 2026 Youth Speaks Competition got off to an excellent start with a very successful Local Southampton event held at King Edward VI School, Southampton on Monday 12 th January. 11 teams competed for a place in the District Finals, 3 Intermediate and 8 Senior. Oasis Academy Sholing, Southampton entered 1 Intermediate and 2 senior teams, Upper Shirley High School, Southampton entered 3 Senior teams, King Edward VI School, Southampton entered 2 Senior and 2 Intermediate tea

Solent Rotary supporting Communicare.
Solent Rotary are pleased to continue their support for Communicare and the good work that it does in our Southampton community. The recent Christmas hampers were well received by over 300 elderly people in need of friendship and companionship over the Christmas period. Solent have agreed that this part of our Community project is essential and we are pleased to confirm that will continue in 2026. Further developments and our support for Communicare will be announced shortly

Helping Graces Kitchen
As part of the Xmas Gift Bags Initiative, we always take the opportunity to provide 25 Bags for ‘Graces Kitchen’. Graces Kitchen is an initiative set up to feed homeless people and those in need in Portsmouth and Southampton – providing hot meals, sandwiches, pre-packed food parcels, groceries and toiletries.
